Computer Repair Technician with Networking Experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Repair Technician with a small background in networking to join our team in the Sun Prairie area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, and basic networking knowledge. This position will be primarily based out of your own home.

 

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Perform hardware upgrades and replacements.
• Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and drivers.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Basic network troubleshooting, including setting up and maintaining small networks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and quality service delivery.

 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a computer repair technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Customer-oriented approach with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
• Must possess a valid WI drivers license, solid transportation with a driving record to match, and vehicle insurance.
• Reliable, low-latency, high speed internet connection.
• Quiet and comfortable work eviornment at home for client phone / remote support calls.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) are a plus.
